Breast lift<\/strong> (mastopexy) is used for large volume breasts that lack equal shape \u2013 nipples are turned downwards or to the side. During breast lift surgery patient\u2019s own tissue is used to improve breast shape, projection and look. Usually, after this surgery breast size remains unchanged, but breasts become firm and shapely without skin sagging.<\/p>\n\n\n\nWhy breasts sag?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\nBreast sagging has various reasons. Most often it happens:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\n- after pregnancy and breast-feeding, when the breast gland has become soft and atrophic after being enlarged during pregnancy;<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- after rapid weight loss, when the skin on all of the body, including breasts, becomes sagging since it is no longer filled by fat;<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- effects of time and gravity.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
There are several breast lift surgery types<\/strong> that depend on the volume of excess skin and the location of areola:<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n- only around the areola;<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- in case of large volumes of excess skin \u2013 around areola + downwards cut (lollipop);<\/li>\n\n\n\n
